The Meaning of our Name
The word “Barbacoa” was first recorded as Spanish explorer’s interpretation of the native word “Barabicu” meaning a wood frame over a fire pit for smoking meat. Over time barbecue has come to mean many things but we believe wood, fire, smoke and meat will always be the basic components of great BBQ.
