The Barbacoa Boyz were founded as an homage to the vast pit-cooking traditions of pre and post Colombian North, Central and South America. “Barbacoa” was first recorded as Spanish explorer’s interpretation of the native word “Barabicu”. Over time barbecue has come to mean many things but whether an open flame, buried in the earth or in any other pit, wood, fire, smoke and meat, we believe, are the basic components of great BBQ.
